This track tackles the same relationship as “Behelit'' but from the perspective of the girl. She is self-aware of her own suffering but feels powerless to act any differently. She thinks that must be a great weight to her partner, who always appears to be so strong, putting her needs before his own. She feels like a weight pulling him down, trapped behind a barricade of dissociation. Eventually, it becomes too difficult to continue to continue fighting and she submits to the ever growing pull of change. The two songs attempt to assess how vastly different two perspectives can be on the same situation. Our views and feelings on any situation are built on our own past experiences, strengths, and weaknesses. Two people will never step into the same river.
lyrics
You folded up and made your bed
I fell into dread
Reaching for the rope you toil
6ft beneath the soil
And I know I never should have asked
But here I am again
Oh to be half as strong as you
With the burdens that you den
Glassiest eyes
Glassiest eyes
Crack my husk, expose me
Brush off the mud, hold me
You must be tired my love
From always holding me above
Diffuse across the interstice
No anchor to embrace
Looking at the shell I wear
Don't recognize the face
And I know I never should have asked
But here I am again
Oh to be half as strong as you
With the burdens that you den
Glassiest eyes
Glassiest eyes
Crack my husk, expose me
Brush off the mud, hold me
You must be tired my love
From always holding me above
Sink into the noise
Fall into the void
