This track is based on an iPhone recording of harmonics on an acoustic guitar that Slobo sent to Khabs in 2019. By the time they got around to trying to record it in 2021, despite trying to record that riff again and again, nothing quite captured the magic like that original crappy iPhone recording. The song itself is an ode to the liminal moment of realising you have fallen for someone. When they fill your head and consume your thoughts. Whether true or not, you’re sure that if you can just find a moment to be with them, all your previous problems will be solved.
lyrics
Come talk to me
Fold into me
Smear up all the lines
Unwind me
Come talk to me
Fold into me
Smear up all the lines
Unwind me
My slumberer
Crack me, I've been dreaming
My tumbler
Wrap me in the feeling
Of my hand in yours on a New Year's morning
Finding your frame in the murky water
